Guatemala!!!

So I'm in Guatemala working as a School Health Facilitator in the Healthy Schools program. I'll be here until April of 2009... I can't even fathom how long that is!! I will work as a Health Education Facilitator in rural schools selected by the Ministry of Education (MOE). My general goal is to improve the health status of rural Guatemalan students grades (k-6) through the sustainable and systematic practice of healthy habits.

Welcome!!!

I thought I would initiate posting by welcoming everyone to my newly created blog as of September 18, 2006. I figured this would be an easy way to keep in touch with family and friends while I'm away in Guatemala for the next two years. I've discovered that this seems to be the easiet way to keep in touch without having to worry about e-mail addresses! I'll be writing here regularly so check it out!
